JAZZ HEAVEN SERIES

(CAFE SOCIETY WHEN ENTERTAINERS MET)

  • Someone recently asked me what do I think makes my Jazz Heaven Series different from any other productions. After briefly thinking about it, I thought about all the research and time I spend looking for different ways to introduce each legends. The poetic intro is unique in itself and a game changer. In addition,  I gather information from different resources and compose it into a biopic verses that are obscure moments, either thorough trials or tribulations that occurred during their life span. Although some of the verses include non-fiction which are incentives to get the audience engaged and interested to the learn about the Artist's history. The cast and I tried to bring each character to life on the stage. In addition, I tried to recreate the stage performance so that each audience member can visualize  or feel themselves actually being there

“When I hear really good, soul-stirring music, the top of my head tingles. Neurologists probably have a term for my condition Craniums Tingleosis or something like that. I don’t know but I do know my head tingle a lot that day especially, when Gordon & Brewer did their thang.”
